INTRODUCTION
What is an Altar? This is a place or location where covenants
obligations are carried out by parties in a relationship/covenant.
WHAT HAPPENS ON AN ALTAR?
• Sacrifices are made on an Altar
• There is an exchange of gifts
• There is an exchange of power
• There is an exchange of blood
• There is an exchange of life
• What is prayer? A petition, a request, a demand, an
expression of desire from a person (usually lower pedigree) to another (usually
of higher pedigree) Who has the ability to grant the petition especially if there are in a
covenant relationship. I John 3:22
• Everyone
prays but only few get results to their prayers – 1 John 3:22
• Many
people pray but only few go through the right channel - Jesus Acts4:12
• Many
people pray but only a few pray from their hearts-Romans 10:9-10
• Many
people pray but only a few really know what they want- John 5:1-15
• Many
people pray but only a few really believe in their prayer –Heb 11:6
• What is the role of Altar in
prayers? Altars
fuel the position of covenants
• Since altars are sacrifices, they
invoke answers to prayers.
• Altars will always require
sacrifices; sacrifices can be in different forms e.g. Money (vow, seed or
prophet offering.
• Time (Meditation, Study and Prayers)
• How do I Tend my Altar
• (1) Consistency
is the mark of champions. You need to be able to keep a regular daily
appointment with the Lord. You must also try to keep the duration.
• (2) Expectation is the Mother of Experience:
Come to the Altar always with strong desire and passion.
• (3)
Word: Reliance must be placed on covenant promises and obligation. Faith
in the spoken and with word of God
• (4) Worship:
Every high power at the Altar usually requires worship. Worship can be
musical or otherwise but must be Soul and spirit involving.
