SEXUAL PRESSURE

Sexual pressure may be defined as influence from associates or environment that causes a person to indulge in immoral or perverse sexual acts such as premarital sex and the likes. Sexual pressure always starts from the mind. When the mind is not guarded with the Word of God, it gives room to unnecessary thoughts which ultimately lead to immoral acts.
The mind is where issues about our lives are formed, and it is also a battled field where thoughts often contend. As a youth, you need to be careful of things you allow to go through your mind. We live in very perverse days. Today we have social media devices, songs, books, magazines etc that promote sex more than any other time in human history. All this calls for proper guarding of one’s mind.

Factors That Lead to Sexual Pressure.
-Not Rooted In Christ
-Bad Parenting
-Failure to heed to good parental training
-Peer pressure
-Influence of social media
-Bad leadership
-Affluence

How to combat Sexual Pressure
-Know your strength and weakness
-Surrender all things to God
-Have a vision for your life
-Understand your environment
-stay away from sexual explicit materials
-Let your foundation be in the word of God.
-Keep the right kind association
-Feed your mind with good information
-Have a God fearing mentor.

-Continue to study the Word of God.
