INTRODUCTION

2 Timothy 2:20-22 talks about a great house with different vessels ,some unto honour while others unto dishonour .Those who purge themselves will be will be vessels unto honour set apart for the master’s use.

Biblically to be separate is to sanctified .To be Sanctified simply means to be set apart for God.

ACT 26:5-32

Paul was arrested and he had to face Felix, Caesar, Festus, Agrippa and Bernice. He was narrating his encounter with the Lord and what led to his action to Agrippa, Festus and Bernice. Paul had an encounter and from that day he knew what he was called to do and separated himself for God. His concern was to please God and not man (Galatians 1).Some of us are sitting and sleeping on the heavenly vision that God has given to us.

THREE CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE.

1.Those who have not come out.

2.Those who have come out but are not separate.Abraham-Genesis12:1-4,13:1-9&14-17.

3.Those who have come out and are separate.

The following are the advantages of a sanctified vessel.

1.Deep Intimacy: There are many of us who are Christians, born again but few are intimate with Him. In Numbers 12:5-8 the Almighty God was talking about Moses (someone who was set apart for God).The intimacy between God and Moses was such that when God is talking to others he speaks inparables but with Moses;

God spoke to him in details. When you are sanctified the secret of the lord is revealed to you(Psalm 25:14).The beauty of knowing the secret of the lord is that you have the peace of God that passes all understanding.

2. Security: The moment your are sanctified you become secured. The king sent a whole army to arrest one man who had no gun, sword  or bow and arrow. The servant of Elisha was afraid but Elisha assured him that those who are for them are more than those who are against them. The man of God asked God to open his eyes so he could see.

Psalm 17:8 ‘keep me as the apple of the eyes, hide me under the shadow of thy wings’.

3.Tremendous Influence: One sanctified Christian can influence the life of others. Matthew 5:16 .Do you know how many people who envy you but the are not ready to pay the price.

4. Protection: A sanctified vessel enjoys divine protection. Esther 7:1-10, the bible tells us that when Esther said to the King, King someone wants to destroy my people and I .When the king got to know that the person was Haman he ordered the chamberlain to hang him. As a child of God set apart for God, the enemy can’t afford to tamper with God because the Lord will always fight for you(Galatians 6:17).Paul Act 26v21-22

WHY DO I NEED TO BE SEPARATE

1.Because of the heavenly vision/assignment God has given to you.

2. If you truly want to make heaven and be impactful you have to be separate.

Father uproot everything that is hindering me from being separate and carrying out your assignment.
